Having worked for many years as a Primary School Teacher in the Carlisle locality, I have now chosen to step away from the bustle of the classroom to spend my time sharing my passion and love of plants, nature and the outdoors. Many of us have busy lives, are not confident gardeners or are finding it harder to keep up with the maintenance of our plots. Tidy Thyme is here to help you by shaping, developing and maintaining your outside spaces – keeping them the way you want them to look.

We are happy to come, have a chat about what you need and make a plan to maintain your garden for you.

Sometimes gardens can get a little bit out of control,
especially at peak growing times of the year.
In some cases you might just need a quick spruce up
of the garden to get things back on track.

However, in other cases the job can be more in the scope
of a full garden clearance. We can do as
little or as much as you need. At Tidy Thyme we are happy
to tackle different types of jobs – light or heavy.

Once your garden is looking back to how you like it to look,
we are very happy to schedule regular maintenance visits.
A maintenance plan goes a long way to
making sure your garden stays in ship-shape condition.

Your time is valuable – so spend your weekends enjoying your garden, not working on it!

“To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul”
Rudyard Kipling

What People Are Saying

“As first-time homeowners, with no gardening experience, we didn’t know how to tackle our large garden. With Louise’s patience, knowledge and guidance she helped us decide what, when and where to plant new plants and how to care for them. She helped us transform our overgrown hedges, lawns and seating areas to create an outdoor space we could be proud of, enjoy and entertain in.”
Will, Crosby-on-Eden

“Louise created an amazing garden design for us, consistent with our brief and vision but also containing elements we would never have thought of ourselves. She helped oversee the whole process and was flexible and accommodating when we decided to make adjustments. Our garden has been well and truly transformed and we absolutely love spending time in it. To be awarded “Garden of the Year” was the cherry on the cake!”
